It's certainly a useful bomb in the right circumstance, though a misplaced throw will merely cause the ground to frost over rather than freezing an enemy in their tracks. These bombs are undeniably useful for trapping specters and wraiths in their material forms and keeping track of foes like Foglets or Vampires. Geralt can use the enemy's temporarily dazed state by moving in for a few easy strong attacks or to hold off an attacker to focus on a bigger threat. The Samum bomb blinds targets within its blast radius, providing a good buffer to diffuse enemy attacks. However, utilizing Dragon's Dream proficiently requires a bit of finesse.
This bomb can be magnanimously useful against enemies that are susceptible to fire damage. The effects aren't nearly as calamitous as a Superior Dragon's Dream, but it forgoes the two-step process. Dancing Star is also highly effective when Geralt wants to set his enemies ablaze. Dealing the most physical and silver damage of any bomb by far, the Grapeshot bomb starts with a base damage of 350, which grows to a whopping 600 with its Enhanced version and doles out a devasting 900 once upgraded to the Superior tier. For a universal damage effect, no bomb is better than a Grapeshot.
